HOME OF THE $40 BRAZILIAN

LOCATED AT 242 PICCADILLY STREET

LONDON, ONTARIO

About Us...

Queen Of The Nile provides a safe, all-natural alternative to waxing and shaving known as "Body Sugaring", which was pioneered and practiced by the ancient Egyptians centuries ago. The product we use is based on an ancient Egyptian recipe which contains sugar, lemon juice and water. It does not contain any chemicals, has not been tested on animals, and causes no harmful side effects caused by allergic reactions. Our unique product removes not only hair, but also the dead skin cells, leaving the skin soft and healthy. We apply the paste at room temperature resulting in less trauma to the skin in comparison to waxing and other alternatives.

About Samar...

I am a certified body sugaring specialist and instructor/educator, with over 30 years experience.  Being of Middle-Eastern background, sugaring is nothing new to me.  My mother would make it herself at home, as her mother did before.  I was introduced to it when I was 13 years old and more than 30 years later, I am still using it.  Sugaring has been the number one hair removal method in my family for generations.  It is the only method I use for myself, and because of its natural benefits, it's the only one I would recommend for my daughters.

I first opened Queen of the Nile in 2006, and began my journey in the back of a lovely hair salon called Hotheads Haircutters in beautiful Wortley Village, behind curtains!  Then, as the old saying goes, "life happens"  -a relationship, children, a second job, etc.  Although I couldn't give the business I knew and loved my full and undivided attention, my heart told me one day I would come back to it.  Years later, after a difficult break-up, I decided to go back to school and educate myself in business.  A short time after college, I went back to that charming salon in Wortley Village.  From behind those same curtains and with the encouragement and support of the kindest, most generous and caring salon owner and human beings, Azizi,  I was able to grow a clientele of 40 to 400 in a matter of 1 short year!  Today, I am proud to acknowledge that after all of the struggles, challenges and tribulations Queen of the Nile has been through, 'she' has certainly earned her position and reputation in our great community and I have you, my clients, to thank.

About Tracy…

I’ve been a sugaring practitioner for approximately 3 years. I had been getting sugared by Samar for almost 8 years. In 2018, I made the decision to move out of the province, only to find out that sugaring wasn't a service offered in the province I was moving to, so I did what everyone would have done, I cried! Dreading the pain and irritation that going back to waxing or shaving would cause, I then decided to become a practitioner myself! This way, I could keep up with what’s best for my skin, and introduce this amazing, ancient and natural hair removal method to others. When I moved back home, I began to work at Queen of the Nile where I was trained and certified the year before. I have been here for 2 years and am proud to be a part of an LGBTQ+ inclusive and friendly business and to say that I am the first (but not the last) specialist at Queen of the Nile in Brozilians, and Transgender sugaring!

About Raquel...

I was (still am) a loyal client of Queen of the Nile for 3 years before becoming a practitioner. I was 16 the first time I got sugared and was so nervous, but going weeks without hair and zero irritation made it all worth it to me. I stayed consistent until the first lockdown in 2020. I did not want to go back to shaving so I messaged Samar asking to buy suQar paste. At first, I struggled to learn but eventually I got it! I was so confident I even did my brazilian!! When the lockdown was over, like all of our clients, I eagerly returned to Queen of the Nile. After telling Samar about my adventures with learning how to sugar on my own, she offered to train me with the promise of a position as a practitioner. At the time, I had been looking for another job to help me save money for university during my year off, so without hesitation, I accepted her offer. Today, as my journey to university continues, I am thrilled to be a part of this team and happy to contribute to our social media platforms! Seriously, follow us on TikTok, we’re sure to give you a good laugh!

About Mackenzee...

I got sugared for my first time at Queen of the Nile by Samar when I was 16 years old, fell in love with the results and have been sugaring ever since. During the pandemic I purchased my first jar of suQar paste from Queen of the Nile as I was NOT going back to shaving! After learning to sugar and getting certified by Samar, I am now officially a sugaring practitioner working at the place it where it all began.

My favourite part about working at Queen of the Nile (besides my work family of course) are our clients! I love the connections we make, the stories we tell, but mostly all of the laughs we have! I really enjoy making everyone feel comfortable and more confident than when they first walk in. When I’m not here sugaring I spend most of my time with my German Shepherd, being outdoors and hanging out with friends.

about our suQar sugarpaste...

It's simple. At Queen of the Nile, we use the same recipe the ancient Egyptians did centuries ago: Sugar, Water & Lemon. Nothing added, nothing taken away. We ensure our sugar is made with 100% all-natural ingredients and handcrafted with care. There is no need for warmers as our sugarpaste is ready to use at room temperature leaving no chance of burning your skin.
