Queen Of the Nile

About Us

Queen Of The Nile provides a safe, all-natural alternative to waxing and shaving known as "Body Sugaring", which was pioneered and practiced by the ancient Egyptians centuries ago. The product we use is based on an ancient Egyptian recipe which contains sugar, lemon juice and water. It does not contain any chemicals, has not been tested on animals, and causes no harmful side effects caused by allergic reactions. Our unique product removes not only hair, but also the dead skin cells, leaving the skin soft and healthy. We apply the paste at room temperature resulting in less trauma to the skin in comparison to waxing and other alternatives.

Samar

About Samar

I am a certified body sugaring specialist and instructor/educator, with over 30 years experience. Being of Middle-Eastern background, sugaring is nothing new to me. My mother would make it herself at home, as her mother did before. I was introduced to it when I was 13 years old and more than 30 years later, I am still using it. Sugaring has been the number one hair removal method in my family for generations. It is the only method I use for myself, and because of its natural benefits, it's the only one I would recommend for my daughters. I first opened Queen of the Nile in 2006, and began my journey in the back of a lovely hair salon called Hotheads Haircutters in beautiful Wortley Village, behind curtains! Then, as the old saying goes, "life happens" -a relationship, children, a second job, etc. Although I couldn't give the business I knew and loved my full and undivided attention, my heart told me one day I would come back to it. Years later, after a difficult break-up, I decided to go back to school and educate myself in business. A short time after college, I went back to that charming salon in Wortley Village. From behind those same curtains and with the encouragement and support of the kindest, most generous and caring salon owner and human beings, Azizi, I was able to grow a clientele of 40 to 400 in a matter of 1 short year! Today, I am proud to acknowledge that after all of the struggles, challenges and tribulations Queen of the Nile has been through, 'she' has certainly earned her position and reputation in our great community and I have you, my clients, to thank.
